A great little Flash animation… about blowing up Flash.

sorry about the blatant repost, but I felt like 50ft was the perfect home for this. What I find particularly amusing is that this is exactly how Flash makes ME feel, too!

my father forwarded this great bit of animation to me with the body of the email simply reading: imagination>drawing skill

Oh yeah, I should add a title about making a font out of your handwriting.

When I was little I really liked calligraphy. That led to just liking handwriting in general (there’s some crazy handwriting in my family). From there, I started noticing graffiti. Then it was hand-painted signs. And now it’s just typography in general. So, the other day I scanned my handwriting and turned it into paths in Illustrator (above) but if I wanted to use it I had to hand-set each character — cool, but not efficient. What I really needed was to turn it into a real font, and lo-and-behold, there was a link to Your Fonts starting back at me this morning. It’s free, quick, easy, and gives surprisingly good results (below). I highly recommend making yourself a font.

I’d say something about how the animation looks great, but the truth is I’d post just about anything Tim Burton puts his name on.
