I’m not big into pictures of space (too often they remind me of the paintings those guys on the streets of Cancun – or any tourist trap – make with unicorns or giant-pyramids-shooting-light in the foreground). But Bittbox put together a list of super high resolution images from space, some of which asploded my mind into little pieces.

That image above is the Eta Carinae Nebula (?). The original image is 6000×2906 pixels. I included a 200×200px snippet at original resolution in the bottom corner.

At the least, these may make for some amazing textures.
