Undesign: How not to fail at life

picture-21

Maybe I’m a sucka, but this giant graphic (after the jump) explaining to “kids these days” how to not suck at life totally won me over. The typography is super awful, the illustrations are terrible. But the aesthetics are so wonderfully terrible and the message is so … pure. This sort of shit actually has a chance at getting through to rugrats in a way textbooks and “The More You Know™” after-school specials never will.

I was super skeptical, and I almost lost faith, but I kept reading and it really won me over.

But I’m a sap. :)

Wow. I kinda want to meet the guy (I’m thinking it’s a guy) who put that together. Quite a mesh of high/low thinking. I agree — this would probably, uh, resonate with the kids a little more than your average after-school special. Or at least with some kids.

Yeah, it’ll resonate with some kids - all the ones whose parents didn’t love them enough to be in their lives and raise them.

Sounds like the opinion of a person that doesn’t have kids (or at least kids old enough to see ‘how they turned out’)…

    Disclaimer: I have no kids

As an orderly I think it’s a bit overkill on the “These are not real diseases” part. There’s people out there who are genuinely disturbed in some manner.

Most astute world view I have come across in a while. If you wouldn’t mind putting something together about religion.

Amazing, now all you have to do is make one of these comic strips for the rl gfs.
