Dusdin clued me into Kintzertorium’s flickr stream, an astounding archive of historical “engravings, lithographs and etchings.” I could spend all day in there.

I can’t get over this image in particular—such awesome insight into the nightmares of 17th century Germans. “NOOOOOOO!!!!! Not the boar, groundhog, lion, and creepy monkeyesque thing that reads sheet music!!!!!!” I love it. LOVE it.
