Ant architecture

The dramatic voiceover is a bit much, but it’s worth it. The first half is rife with ant-livin learnings, and in the second half you get the payoff. Scientists filled a giant ant colony with concrete (took 3 days to fill!), let it dry, then excavated it. The layout of their structure looks … deliberate, to say the least. Wonderful.

PS Uh-oh … too big.

Dohh. Lee, your always screwing thingsup.

I suppose we should make the default width at least as large as a youtube video.

Agreed. YouTube vids can be rad.

Also, I thought only stuff of category Design made it to the front page. Wrong?

Yup wrong indeed. I can add it so that’s what happens. What do ya think?

I’d opt for no categories, but using tags instead.

I like how wide http://www.vvork.com/ is too. no reason this thing shouldn’t be like 50ft wide. GET IT!?

    I’m with Jed.

True that. I’ll try to widen things out a bit later.

How do yall feel about getting rid of the little stack of lines to the left of the permalink line under each post?

And what about a cool character like this’un for the permalink? Ω

And how about a “We are…” section (or something) that lists us admins and links to our respective sites, if desired?
